First Reading: (Lev 13:2.44-46). According to the Law of Moses, anyone showing symptoms of leprosy must live outside the Israelite community and must warn others of their unclean condition.

Second Reading: (1Cor. 10:31-11;1). We are to try to be helpful to all and do everything for God’s glory.

Responsorial Psalm: (Ps. 31) You are my refuge, O Lord; you fill me with the joy of salvation.

The Gospel: (Mk 1:40-45). After healing a leper, Jesus has to guard against his mission being misunderstood.

Catholic Bible Society

A Speaker from the Catholic Bible Society will speak at all Masses next weekend, the first Sunday of lent. A follow up session on ‘How we might use the Scriptures in our personal private prayer’ will take place at 3.30pm. All are invited. Fr John will hopefully be able to arrange further input on Tuesday nights at 7.30pm in the Church. Do please commit. Thank you.

Bexley Council Upcycling Project

Bexley Council are running three FREE events: Crepes and Craft Tuesday 13th February 10am – 1.30pm. Summer Swish (clothes swap) in June and a Family Summer Fun Day in July, plus a range of other workshops for just £5 each: two food From Around the World’ cookery workshops; Jewellery Making for Mothers’ Day: Memory Keepsakes plus many more. Plus attendees can help to create a patchwork throw which will be donated to SNAP, a local charity for families of disabled children
