First Reading:  (Acts 5:12-16).  People are drawn to the community of believers that is alive with the presence of the risen Lord.

Second Reading: (Apoc 1:9-13, 17-19). The exiled prophet John is called by the risen Lord to proclaim the Lord’s word to the church.

The Gospel: (Jn 20:19-31). The risen Lord brings his disciples from fear to joy and Thomas from doubt to faith.

Responsorial Psalm: Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, for his love has no end.

Don't Change

Trying to change is the enemy of love
Don’t change yourself,
Accept yourself as you are.
Don’t change others,
Accept them as they are.
It’s in God’s hands.
If you do that,
Then change will occur,
Marvellously, magnificently,
In its own way
And in its own time.
Just yield to the current of life,
by baggage.

Sometimes we have questions

And God seems silent  and far away;
Sometimes our lives fall apart
And we fear our hearts
Can never be mended,
Sometimes we feel
Completely alone
And Wonder how long
We can keep going.
But Jesus is always
There with us....
Even in the silence,
Even in the Brokenness...
Because Jesus has been there before us,
And understand.

Gift Aid Declaration Forms

Those of you who were inquiring about the Gift Aid declarations forms, please collect/see Blasco or Fr. John after the Sunday masses. The forms are available in the porch.

Recurring Nightmares

I sometimes have this nightmare, Lord.
I sit where Peter sat, by that fire long ago.
And the faces turn towards me-
‘Weren’t you with him?” “Aren’t you one of his?”
How will I answer? Will I do better?
Will I be bolder, more loyal, more daring?
Then out comes the answer – “No, I don’t know him”.
And I wake, fearing that soon, when the cock crows, you’ll turn and look at me too.
I have another nightmare, Lord. Again I’m by that fire.
Again come the accusing question.
But this time:“Yes” I say. “Yes, I am, and I’m proud of it!”
“Prove it.” They reply, “What evidence can you offer?
Show us the proof that you are one of his”.
And all of my efforts, all my protestations, all of my arguments fail to suffice.
There’s just not enough in this life that I live,
In the words that I say and the things that I do, to convince them that really I am what I say.
They reject my claim. My case is not proven.
What right have I, Lord, to claim to be one of your  followers?
What right have I to claim to be one of your witnesses?

Would a judge dismiss the case for lack of evidence?

But the power of Easter has
burst upon us with the
resurection o Christ

Now we find ourselves a
strength which is not our own,
and which is freely given to us
whenever we need it, raising
us above the Law, giving us a
new law which is hidden in
Christ: the law of His merciful
Love for us.

Easter is the hour of our
