Our Parish Mission

It may have ended chorological on Wednesday March 16th but hopefully it is continuing and will do so into the future. Our thanks to Fr. Charlie and Fr. Peter for affirming, challenging and inspiring us on our faith journey. Thanks also to all who helped in any way to make it such a blessing for our parish. As Fr. Charlie said, “you know who are “without being named”, so say I also. After Easter we will have an opportunity to reflect on our experiences as a parish community. See you than.

WHY? He is Risen: We are Easter People. Sing Alleluia! Life and love have won the day. Death and evil seemed to have been triumphant, but no, they are defeated. In a strange paradox death has given birth to new dimension of life, eternal life and unlimited life.  In His humanity He experiences the fullness of Divine Life. We have all risen with Him. The New Life is now ours, here and now. The whole of creation has become changed with this New Life of the Resurrection.

It is NOW. SING ALLELUIA.

Christ yesterday and today
The beginning and the end
Alpha and Omega
All time belongs to him
And all the ages.
To him be glory and power
Through every age for ever.

(Easter vigil, Lighting of the Easter Candle)

A Question for Us All

In our parish, is there somebody you know, who seems to be forgotten or neglected in some way. If you know of anybody, please, let Fr. John know.
