Fr. John does it again

No, he has not got another hole in one. He has just made another mistake! On last Sunday he said there would be no Stations of the Cross on Palm Sunday (today) but checking on last year he now declares there will be the Stations and Benediction on Palm Sunday from 15.00 to 16.00.

Our Ignorance of God's Love

“Forgive them Father for they know not what they do!” Jesus said this of his executioners. But it is true? A lot indicates that they were far from innocent. How could Jesus’ executioners not know what they were doing?

The People who crucified Jesus didn’t know what they were doing because they didn’t know how much they were loved. This is the blindness and the real ignorance of the executioners. Far too often we crucify others and ourselves because of ignorance, because we feel unloved. For this reason we are harsh in our judgements of others and unaware of why we ourselves are prone to weakness and to compromise our dignity. We are judgmental and weak, because, at the end of the day, we don’t know any better.

Happy Easter

Why?  He is Risen.  We are an Easter People. Sing ALLELUIA! Life and love have won the day. Death and evil seemed to have been triumphant, but no, they are defeated. In a strange paradox death has given birth to New Life. Jesus is risen from the dead. He is risen out of death. This is the great breakthrough into a totally new dimension of life, eternal life, and unlimited life. In His humanity He experiences the fullness of Divine Life. We have all risen with Him. The New Life is now ours, here and now. The whole of creation changed with this New Life of the Resurrection. It is NOW. SING ALLELUIA.
